Restrictions bring out creativity in us.
Restrictions bring out creativity in us.
You can't really be creative if you don't have restrictions or limitations. If you have endless choices, you can't choose even one. That's the paradox of choice.
I have quite a few examples to support this.
The budget limit of ISRO made them go creative with their approach to reaching Mars in the Mangalyaan mission.
Movie directors choose to limit themselves to gears, such as Christopher Nolan's decision to not include any CGI in his movie Oppenheimer.
Restrictions on freedom of speech in Hong Kong and China made their citizens go creative. (The anniversary of Tiananmen Square was celebrated in unique ways, like putting 3 potatoes and 1 tomato in the resemblance of that iconic photo.)
And people, protesting the COVID restrictions with just blank paper. (Because if they wrote anything, they'd have to face consequences.)
Similarly, in long-distance relationships, people go crazily creative to fill up the gap between their distances. The kind that we don't get to see in conventional relationships.
Creativity works in mysterious ways.
